Top 5 Wedding Venues in Arizona

 

Today on the blog, I am going to be sharing what the Top 5 Wedding Venues in Arizona are in my opinion and why!

There are SO many great wedding venues in Arizona and they all cater to different clientele with the style and offerings at each venue. This list will be totally based on our normal bride that selects KolorPHX Photographic CO to photograph their wedding day.

 

#5 Lost Dutchman State Park

        OK..So this isn’t actually a wedding venue but I had had a number of clients choose this location for their engagement and/or wedding day portraits. The Superstition Mountains are a great place for that true Arizona desert landscape and some of the best light in the valley! What I love about Lost Dutchman is that the landscape is uneven enough that the small rolling hills are able to hide the roads in the final photographs that pass through the park itself. This is one of my go-to spots for EPIC an engagement session!

 

 

#4 Arizona Grand Resort & Spa

       Arizona Grand Resort & Spa is #4 on The Top 5 Wedding Venues in Arizona and is definitely one of my fav’s! This venue is a large golf resort and hotel spread out on the doorstep of 17,000 acres of the South Mountain Preserve! Around every corner is something different and we love shooting here for that reason! Now, being that the property is so spread out, there is definitely a lot of walking involved so make sure to schedule in some extra time with your wedding photographer to account for the walking.

#3 El Chorro

       El Chorro is #3 on the Top 5 Weddings Venues in Arizona and is  one of Paradise Valley’s iconic landmarks and has a few different locations within the venue to choose from for your special day. It is a smaller, elegant venue that still boasts some of the best desert landscaping that Arizona has to offer! The Southwestern inspired architecture paired with the luscious desert landscape make for one of the best settings in Arizona for your wedding day!

#2  Mountain Shadows  

        Mountain Shadows is #2 on the Top 5 Wedding Venues in Arizona and is an Arizona legacy that has been around for many years! The property dates back to 1981 when it was purchased by Marriott Hotels. After a successful run, a new developer purchased the property and in my opinion has made it what Mountain Shadows should be! After completely leveling the property but preserving some of the legacy details of the original Mountain Shadows, this new venue is one that will become one of the top venues around! It has THE BEST view of Camelback Mountain from pretty much any area on property. From the rooftop patio to the center lawn, Mountain Shadows will not disappoint!

#1 The Windmill Winery

       The Windmill Winery is my #1 pick for he Top 5 Wedding Venues in Arizona! Why did I choose The Windmill Winery? OOOOO Let me tell you! This venue has far more to offer than just the desert views and country setting of the property. From the time you enter the property until the time you leave, everything is top-notch at The Windmill Winery. The staff is second to none and truly care about each and every guest that walks onto their property. The property that is now known as The Windmill Winery was purchased in 2001, in order to house their expanding plant nursery. At the time it was a weather-beaten, shack-strewn farm that had seen better days. The current owners have given the property their special taste by utilizing some of the old brinks, and constructed a “grand entrance” to The Property, the arches for the ceremony site and many of the paths that lead you around the property. The original buildings were refurbished and are still used today such as the Bridal Cottage and the Wine Tasting Room. I absolutely love shooting here! There are tons of texture and colors that allow me to give our brides something different and unique each and every time!
