I am so stoked to share Jonny + Megan’s Sunrise Desert Engagement Session on the blog today! These two are so dang cute together and I have never seen smiles this big so early in the morning! We met up in the desert at Lost Dutchman State Park at 5:30 am to get started! These two are troopers are are it was definitely soooo worth the early wake up call! Here is the short version of how they met in Johnny’s words!
“Megan and I first met performing for a college awards night at GCU, and ended up sitting in front of each other at an Applebee’s afterwards. When the night ended, her and I went about our lives, and little did we know that our paths would cross again, and this time, forever.
About a year from our first encounter, Megan and I were overjoyed to be cast in a production of “West Side Story” where I was the character Bernardo, and she was my Anita. We definitely were interest in pursuing each other, but waited for the show to finish to get to know each other outside of work. After a couple of dates, it was pretty evident that God put Megan in my life for a reason.
After years of dating, it was no question to propose to Megan in a way I know how. I was able to get a video of family and friends saying wonderful things about out relationship, and after, I sang her a special song that is significant to our relationship, “Seven Wonders” from the musical ‘Catch Me If You Can.’ With the surprise of family and friends bringing roses to her while I sang, Megan knew what was going to happen. After making the best decision, and dropping on one knee, the love of my life said…YES!
Now and everyday I look forward to growing with this wonderful woman as my wife!
