We had an amazing weekend with Whitney + Kaden and their Foothills Golf Club wedding! We absolutely had a blast every minute of the day! Their friends and families gathered on a rainy March afternoon in Phoenix Arizona to celebrate their special day. Here is little bit about how Whitney + Kaden met in Whitney’s words…
A year after Kaden moved from Utah to Arizona with his sister and her husband, we met through mutual friends while attending a meeting back in 2014. The sparks started to fly immediately after being introduced to each other. Kaden says my first words went something like, “what’s wrong with your nails?” And Kaden knew I was the one. We both joined a company called Vemma in hopes to make new friends, and it just so happened that we found our best friend in each other.
I lived on the East side in Arizona and Kaden lived on the West, about an hour apart. So for the first date we met each other halfway for breakfast on Valentine’s Day. Even though we lived on opposite sides of AZ, we made sure to meet in the middle at least once a week. A few months into dating, Kaden’s sister and husband moved back to Utah and Kaden made the crazy decision to stay here in AZ and pursue our relationship and see where it would take us. After a few years of lots of dinner dates and fun memories, we decided it was time to settle down together, which lead to purchasing our first home here in Arizona.
After several months of living together, we both became eager to get married. We looked around at rings and Kaden eventually found the one he knew I would love. We took a spontaneous trip to California one weekend and I was convinced this would be it… This was going to be the moment Kaden proposed. The weekend eventually passed and it never happened and Kaden could tell I was bummed on the long car ride home. He continued to ask “what’s wrong?” Which I replied numerous times, “oh..nothing..” However, that quickly washed away as soon as we got home. After pulling into the driveway, Kaden rushed to our bedroom; I followed and found him on one knee amidst our two loving dogs, rose petals, champagne, and pictures of us throughout the years! I said YES and loved the intimate and personalized proposal in our new home.
