Arizona Sunset Engagement Session // Krystal + Jordan

Arizona Sunset Engagement Session // Krystal + Jordan // Phoenix Wedding Photographer

I had such a great time with Krystal + Jordan and their Arizona Sunset Engagement Session yesterday! The Superstition Mountains never disappoint and I love the fact that every time I shoot there, I am able to capture something completely different than the previous time! The sunsets are so magical and the colors of the desert that reflect off of the mountains are breathtaking! Then you pair a beautiful couple such as Krystal + Jordan agains the backdrop of the Arizona sunset and its priceless!

Krystal and Jordan came to be at a local venue while attending one of their open houses. I think we probably talked for an hour about all of the details of their big day and what they were looking for in a wedding photographer and I think we both knew from the start that we were a great fit! We met and started going to the details and scheduled their Arizona Sunset Engagement Session and I cannot wait to celebrate with them at The Windmill Winery next October!

Krystal + Jordan met when Krystal was a senior in high school and Jordan was a freshman in college. They had a mutual friend who they both spent time with and Krystal happened to be over at his house. Jordan just has bought his brand new Camaro and brought it over to their mutual friends to show it off. Right away Jordan asked our friend who Krystal was and if she was single. Krystal did have a boyfriend at the time so nothing came of it. After years of going on dates together and Krystal not being ready for another relationship, she finally realized how crazy she was for not being with the man of her dreams. Krystal and Jordan always joke about how he’s the most impatient person, but was patient the one time it mattered with her.

On July third they were headed to the Grand canyon to celebrate Jordans birthday. He secretly had the ring box in his sock all morning and throughout the drive. We went to the first lookout and they searched for someone to take their picture but no one was speaking English… Krystal was getting frustrated because she had told Jordan to use his hand gestures and show them by snapping an imaginary picture. Jordan was visibly nervous but Krystal didn’t catch on. They trudged on to the next lookout point and she found a little ledge that was away from everyone. Jordan frantically searched for someone to take a picture. Finally a pink Jeep tour bus appeared and Jordan made a sight line to the guide, secretly told him to record it and got down on one knee. Krystal was so shocked because he kept telling me it wouldn’t be until the end of the year and also the ring of my dreams was in the box even though he had told her it sold!! Krystal quickly said yes and they excitedly drove home to a house of our family and friends to celebrate with!
