Ancala Country Club Wedding
We had the best time with Kylie + Robbie and their Ancala Country Club Wedding last weekend! Kylie + Robbie are so in love and it shows with their smiles from ear to ear! I met Kylie when photographing Maria + Alex last year at The Windmill Winery. Kylie was a brides maid and apparently testing me out before she asked me to photograph her wedding! We love referrals and their BIG DAY was one we will never forget! Here is a little peak into their love story in Robbie’s words…
“Let’s just be straight forward here… we met via eHarmony and the rest is history. There was no “he walked up to me and used the greatest pick up line I’ve ever heard” or “I saw her from across the way and knew she was the one for me”. I (Robbie) spent many months trying online dating, whereas Kylie was on there for one whole day. That’s right a day. So if you are reading this and still wondering if online dating really works, it does.
After texting for a week because Kylie was out of town for work, our first date was at the best coffee shop in Tempe, Cartel. I remember talking for a few hours before we both had to attend a family function, however I am certain Kylie can only remember what I was wearing due to how bright it was.
From there life took us on a roller coaster ride of emotional events. We powered through with one another and remained steadfast in fostering a relationship that was God centered rather than focused solely on us.
We also did many fun things together that brought us closer together, from riding quads at the family cabin, to road tripping to see friends and spend quality time together, to hiking trails that we had no business being on… Speaking of trails we had no business being on I proposed on one of those trails.
It was a moderate hike to the spot I had picked out to pop the question. Or so I thought. After traversing some really difficult terrain Kylie was done. She was not going any further. That was it. Meanwhile I am thinking about how my grand plan is about to be foiled. It took a little convincing to get Kylie to go the rest of the way and thanks to an old man on the trail and my friend’s girlfriend she continued. We finally made it and after we ate lunch I took her out to the edge of the cliff where I am pretty certain I said something really nice before asking Kylie to marry me.
Today we continue to foster our relationship in such a way that we grow closer to one another and God all while learning to love one another more and more each day. “
Kylie + Robbie were married at their Ancala Country Club Wedding on November, 25 2107 and the day could not have been more perfect!
